Foolproof Margarita Cocktail Recipes

Margaritas are a crowd favorite for any event, from football viewing parties to feisty fiestas. Mixing up these cocktail recipes is easy when you use our 16, 18, and 22 oz. plastic cocktail shaker sets. Serve up your margaritas chilled or frozen to suit the tastes of your guests. Jalapeno Basil Lime Frozen Margarita
  • 1/4 cup basil
  • 1/2 jalapeņo with seeds, sliced
  • 6 ounces barrel-aged tequila
  • 3 ounces triple sec
  • Juice of 4 limes
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 to 3 cups ice
  • Coarse salt, for the rims
  • Lime wedges, for serving

In a mason jar or large glass, muddle the basil and jalapeņo together, then add the tequila. Let infuse for 24 hours in the refrigerator. Strain and discard basil and jalapeņo.

In a high-powered blender, blend the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, honey and ice until completely smooth. Pour into salt-rimmed margarita glasses with lime wedges.

Spicy Margarita
Punch


  • 1 English cucumber, thinly sliced, plus more for garnish
  • 1 small jalapeņo, thinly sliced, plus more for garnish
  • 1/4 cup lightly packed cilantro
  • 1/4 cup lightly packed mint
  • One 750-milliliter bottle silver tequila
  • 2 cups fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup light agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • Ice, lime wedges and kosher salt, for serving

In a punch bowl, muddle the cucumber with the jalapeņo, cilantro and mint. Add the tequila, lime juice, agave and orange juice and stir well. Refrigerate until well chilled, about 1 hour.

Using a fine-mesh sieve, remove and discard the solids from the punch. Garnish with more thinly sliced cucumber and jalapeņo. Serve with ice and lime wedges alongside, as well as salt for rimming margarita glasses.

Pomegranate
Margarita

  • 1 1 liter bottle of Tequila
  • 2 cups Cointreau
  • 2 cups unsweetened Pomegranate Juice
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • crushed ice

In a large glass pitcher, combine the tequila, Cointreau, pomegranate juice and lime juice. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, pour in 1 cup of the margarita mix and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve. Repeat with the remaining mix.

Tropical margarita mixes transport your party-goers to a lazy, sun-soaked beach with every sip. Whether you are hosting a party with a tropical theme or you simply want to give everyone a taste of the exotic, these bold cocktail recipes pack some extra punch.

Watermelon Margarita
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 strips orange zest
  • 2 cups cubes seedless watermelon
  • 4 oz Frozen Lime Concentrate
  • 6 cups crushed ice

Bring 1/2 cup sugar, water, and orange zest in a small saucepan to

boil, stirring constantly. Simmer until sugar is dissolved, about 3

minutes. Remove simple syrup from heat and allow to cool

completely.

Place watermelon in a blender or food processor. Pulse until

pureed.
Stir watermelon puree into a large pitcher with simple

syrup, tequila, and lime juice.
Place a small amount of salt or

sugar into a saucer. Rub edge of margarita glasses with a lime

wedge to moisten.
Lightly dip the rim of the glass into the saucer

to rim the glass; tap off excess salt or sugar.

Fill rimmed glasses with crushed ice; pour margarita mixture into glasses and garnish with lime wedges to serve.

Frozen Strawberry
Margarita

  • 6 oz Tequila
  • 2 ounces triple sec
  • 8 oz Frozen Strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 to 3 cups ice
  • Coarse salt, for the rims
  • Lime wedges, for serving
Place ice in blender and crush for 15 - 20 seconds.

Add Frozen Strawberries, tequila, Triple Sec and Limeade. Blend

until smooth. Pour into margarita glasses rimmed with salt..

Tropical Margarita

  • 2 cups pineapple chunks
  • 8-10 oz mango slices
  • 1 cup passion fruit concentrate
  • 1-2 limes juiced
  • 1/2 cup honey or agave
  • 1/2 cups tequila
  • 1/2 cup triple sec
  • ice

Place pineapple, mango, passion fruit juice concentrate, lime juice, and honey in blender and mix until smooth.
Add tequila, triple sec and ice. Blend until smooth.
Serve with a pineapple wedge alongside, as well as sugar for rimming margarita glasses.
